Prakash Ganesan is a seasoned cyber security trainer with over 10 years of experience in the field. He is a certified ethical hacker, TRYHACKME Top 1%, eLearnSecurity Certified Professional Penetration Tester, Microsoft Certified Trainer (MCT), Oracle Certified Web Component Developer, and a PEGA Certified Professional. Prakash has a demonstrated history of working in the training industry with exposure in windows malware research, android malware research, penetration testing, advanced static analysis by reversing, .Net, and Java. Currently working as a Module Lead at Mindtree, Prakash assists and provides all active defense analysis in triage, identification, and analysis of threat events for escalation to potential threat incidents. He analyzes malicious traffic and IOCs hits for attributing to threat actors, performs cyber security threat engineering activities with specific focus on countermeasure Tactics, Techniques and Procedures (TTPs), researches, analyzes, and provides reports on attacker campaigns as required. Prakash also analyzes and investigates malicious code in multiple languages such as JavaScript, C++, Powershell, etc. He remains updated about the latest threats, attack vectors, and uses the knowledge to develop detection rules and hunt scenarios proactively under stringent timelines. In the past, Prakash has worked as an Assistant Manager at K7 Computing and as Industry Collaboration and Research at Chennai Institute of Technology, Chennai. At Chennai Institute of Technology, he was instrumental in executing the center of excellence model with various corporate entities such as Virtusa on Pega PRPC 7.1, Computer Science Corporation on IaaS, and many more. He also played a key role in equipping students for industry exposure and resolving bottlenecks of various industries via projects led by students. Prakash holds a Master’s Degree in Information Technology from PSN College of Engineering & Technology and a Bachelor’s Degree in Electronics and Communication Engineering from Shri Andal Alagar College of Engineering. He also has a Higher Secondary degree in Computer Science from Velammal Matriculation Higher Secondary School and completed his schooling from D.A.V Senior Secondary School, Chennai.
