Prakash Palaniappan is an experienced Software Engineering Lead with over ten years of experience in the field. He has a broad range of computer expertise and has worked on building cloud-native applications and microservices in various technologies. Prakash has a strong exposure to multi-cloud environments and is skilled in debugging various types of production issues such as performance and memory. He has experience in working closely with customers on gathering requirements, implementing them, and delivering them. Prakash has been instrumental in IBM's Multi-Cloud Management Platform - Enterprise Cost and Asset Management (MCMP ECAM) General Availability (GA). He has worked in all levels of SDLC and has led engineering teams of 20 plus members. Prakash has collaborated with various partner labs, including IBM's GTS Labs and GS Labs, as well as other stakeholders of the organization. He has played a key role in migrating customers from BCAM to ECAM and has addressed all the application security bugs, Image vulnerabilities, and static code scan issues for the product to be GA-ed. Prakash has enabled the product to be deployable in On-premise(based on Open Shift) and has worked closely with the delivery team for onboarding new customers. He has evaluated and implemented new tools and technologies and solved critical customer problems. Prakash has also hired and mentored new joiners. Prakash has previously worked as a System Software Engineer at IBM, where he developed microbenchmarks for comparing various GC policies performance for internal tests. He has also worked on recruitment software at aplopio as a Senior Software Engineer. Prakash has a Bachelor of Engineering degree in Electronics and Communication Engineering from Park College of Engineering and Technology and completed his HSC from Tagore Matriculation Higher Secondary School.
