Prakash Shettigar is an experienced Software Engineer with over 7 years of working experience in the software field. He is currently working as a Software Engineer - II at Cisco, where he has designed and executed data ingestion and validation pipelines for different data sources, utilizing Golang & AWS (lambdas, ecs, s3, step functions, etc). Additionally, he has developed Golang Unit testing integration for data ingestion modules. In his previous role as a Software Engineer - I at Cisco, Prakash created a CI pipeline using Jenkins and Drone to build Microservices. He also developed a Syslog microservice in Java to listen to syslogs from switches and routers and process and filter. He contributed to a few Java microservice feature enhancements and built and managed all the Deployments of Docker Containers of the product leveraging Kubernetes and Helm. Prakash migrated a microservice from asp.net to Go Microservice for one of the Cisco My Diagnostic bridge Application. Before joining Cisco, Prakash worked as a Software Engineer at IBM, where he was responsible for understanding the requirement of AT&T Project. He used Java to write business logic to fetch command outputs from routers and switches. He also wrote rules using Java regex and Rule framework to parse and process the command output of the router and switches. He fixed defects, made code changes, and deployed the war file to the Websphere server for testing. Prakash holds a Bachelor of Engineering in Computer Science from Vishveshwaraiah Technological University and a Diploma of Education in Computer Science from N.R.A.M. Aided Polytechnic Nitte.
