Pralhad Sapre is a Senior Software Engineer at RTI, with a passion for working on exciting research projects that require the application of computer science knowledge from different areas. With over 7 years of relevant experience, he has worked on several areas spanning Android, REST API development, Data Mining, Voice Recognition, UX (User experience design) and Gesture Recognition Devices. Pralhad likes to diversify to help him broaden his overall understanding of complex computer systems and cross-pollinate ideas from different areas. Currently, Pralhad is working as a member of the R&D team on new product feature development at RTI. He works on Infrastructure Services which enable a Connext DDS distributed system to scale in size and add additional advanced features like discovery in a non-multicast environment. RTI is the largest software framework provider for smart machines and real-world systems. The company’s RTI Connext® product enables intelligent architecture by sharing information in real time, making large applications work together as one. With over 1,500 deployments, RTI software runs the largest power plants in North America, connects perception to control in vehicles, coordinates combat management on US Navy ships, drives a new generation of medical robotics, controls hyperloop and flying cars, and provides 24/7 medical intelligence for hospital patients and emergency victims. Pralhad has previously worked at Honeywell as an Internet of Things (IoT) Ecosystem Technology Intern, where he worked on Speech recognition, C# REST APIs on the cloud, and developing an Android app under the guidance of a senior research scientist. He also worked at TCS as a Systems Engineer, where he developed mobile applications and services. His duties spanned the entire spectrum of mobile application development from design, development, testing to deployment. He worked on several platforms like Android, Windows Phone, Java, Microsoft Kinect, and Leapmotion. He always endeavored to bring innovative ideas and agility to his work. Pralhad holds a Master of Science (M.S.) degree in Computer Science from Indiana University, a Bachelor of Engineering (B.E.) degree in Computer Engineering from the University of Mumbai, and a Diploma in Computer Technology/Computer Systems Technology from Maharashtra State Board of Technical Education, India.
