Pramod Kumar is a technical leader with over 19 years of relevant experience in designing and building robust and scalable software systems. He is also an experienced data scientist with expertise in extracting insights from data. Currently, Pramod is working as a Principal Architect, Data Science at n-of-one, inc. where he is responsible for leading the design and implementation of data science projects. In his previous role at n-of-one, inc., Pramod was responsible for maintaining and enhancing the Molecular Decision Support platform that enables the business of N-of-One. He also interfaced with Molecular Biologists to analyze requirements for new features, developed high-level design and implementation, and was responsible for data extraction cleanup and statistical analysis to help guide pharmaceutical clients in different phases of drug discovery and development. Pramod followed Agile development methodology with JIRA as a planning and tracking tool and Git as a version control tool. Prior to n-of-one, inc., Pramod worked as a Life Sciences Software Engineer, R&D Information at Astrazeneca where he developed a Competitive Intelligence application that enables users to visualize trials or drugs based on targets, companies, indications, etc. in an intuitive interface. He used AngularJS and D3JS for front-end and visualization, and the microservices layer and data access layer were developed using Spring Boot and Groovy. The back-end was a triple store that supports SPARQL queries. Pramod also built a data pipeline using Groovy that fetches data from Citeline, converts it into RDF, and stores it into the triple store nightly. Additionally, he developed a tool to analyze mass spectrometry data using AngularJS and D3JS, and a set of methods for observational research using R. Pramod holds an MBA from the University of Illinois, an MS in Computer Science from the University of Texas at Arlington, and a B.Tech in Ocean Engineering and Naval Architecture from the Indian Institute of Technology, Kharagpur. He has expertise in Data Science, Senior Software Engineering, Research Science, Software Engineering, AngularJS, Spring Boot, Spring, Microservices, Frontend, and Backend. Pramod is an effective coach and mentor and adept at managing project plans, documentation, and implementation.
