Pramod N is an accomplished Data Science and Engineering professional with over 11 years of relevant experience in the field. He is currently serving as the VP and Head of Data Science and Engineering at Rapido, where he is responsible for bringing in efficiencies to the company's growth, customer, captain, and marketplace levers. Pramod is an introvert who constantly challenges himself and others in defining the art of the possible. He champions the cause of making data bring a competitive advantage for Rapido and its growth. In the past, Pramod has led the data practice for Thoughtworks India, where he helped clients go on an Intelligence first journey and deliver data + digital-centric solutions with a focus on value and experimentation. He has multi-faceted experience in the world of digital and AI, ranging from science to engineering to product and data strategy, to aid holistic business solutions. Pramod has worked for multiple consumer and business-facing products in the Retail, Transport, Logistics, Finance, Knowledge management, Legal, Marketing, and Publishing domains. He has engaged in very early strategy definition, problem identification, solution creation, and full cycle impact measurement post-build. He comes with a primary focus on full product life-cycle thinking, from identification of customer needs, data art of the possible, commercial relevance, to ongoing delivery of products and features and evolution on the back of that. Pramod has led architecture for large-scale solutions with hundreds of system variety and peta-byte scale queryable data challenges with a holistic focus on people skills, process and release cycles, business relevance of solutions, scale needs, reduced waste technology, cultural alignment, and transformation, etc. He has a philosophy of right problem, right product, right data, right tech for growth. Pramod's core background is in early adoption and application of Machine Learning Techniques onto various computer science problems, which include Network Data, Speech Processing, Text Processing, and NLP. This currently extends to applying ML methodologies to pressing business problems, including and not limited to Pricing, Demand forecasting, Supply chain planning, fraud detection, hyper-personalization, churn, etc. His research interests include Text & Data mining, Machine learning, Distributed Systems, and Game Theory. Pramod holds a BE degree in Computer Science from M S Ramaiah Institute of Technology. He has worked as a Lead Consultant and Senior Data Consultant for Thoughtworks in the past.
