Pranab Sarkar is an experienced Software Development Engineer 2 at Amazon with a passion for developing backend systems and training neural networks for social good. He has a strong background in software engineering, having worked with companies like Cisco and TCS in the past. At Cisco, Pranab worked with the Cloud and Compute Engineering Team, gaining experience in cloud computing and software development. At TCS, he developed the backend of a Content Management System, implemented caching to an existing microservice, and developed the backend of a Vaccine Refrigeration System. He also developed a middleware microservice in a SOA for asset management system and created a central image repository microservice to serve images dynamically of any dimension and file format. He refactored existing microservices and implemented best coding practices with design patterns. Pranab followed Test Driven Development and assisted in creating project outputs such as prototypes, and technical architecture. He carefully documented technical workflows in the project’s repository. Pranab's technical skills include Python, Lambda, S3, DynamoDb, Lambda@Edge, SNS, SQS, API Gateway, CloudFront, ElastiCache (Redis), and SQL.
