Pranav Garg is an experienced Software Engineer with a strong background in Java, Cloud Computing, and System Design. He is currently working as a Software Developer at AWS OpenSearch, previously known as AWS ElasticSearch, where he contributes to both the open-source Opensearch server and its plugins and develops the managed service hosted on AWS. Pranav has a Bachelor of Engineering (B.E.) degree focused on Electrical and Electronics Engineering from Birla Institute of Technology and Science, Pilani - Goa Campus. He has a demonstrated history of working in the internet industry and is a skilled engineer with over 3.94 years of relevant experience. In his previous role at Amazon, Pranav was part of the Value Added Services team that provides a platform enabling the creation, management, and fulfillment of various service-based businesses within Amazon. He was responsible for designing and implementing solutions for business requirements, understanding and enhancing existing architectures, and mitigating operational challenges faced by the team. As a Software Development Intern at Amazon, Pranav designed and implemented a server-less, cloud-based data ingestion and discovery pipeline as part of a services platform named Value Added Services. During his nine-week high-paced internship, he learned about the team's infrastructure, Java, chalked out the high-level and low-level design constructs, and implemented and deployed the project. Pranav's tech stack includes AWS, Software Engineer, Java, Elastic Search, and infra. He is a strong engineering professional who is passionate about technology and always eager to learn new things.
