Pranav Kansara is an experienced Member of Technical Staff at NetApp, with a focus on Python application development. With 8 years of experience in object-oriented programming, design, and development using Python and C++, he has worked with various design patterns and data structures. Pranav has a strong understanding of the full software development life cycle (SDLC) and has experience in the storage, multimedia, and telecom domains. Currently, Pranav is working on the NetApp XCP Migration Tool, a high-performance NFSv3 client and SMB host tool for fast and reliable third-party storage to NetApp migrations and NetApp to NetApp transitions. The tool supports discovery, logging, and reporting, as well as a wide variety of sources and targets. XCP runs on a Linux client and Windows as a command-line tool and is packaged as a single binary file that is easy to deploy and use. Prior to joining NetApp, Pranav worked as a Senior System Engineer at IBM, where he was involved in 5G related changes introduced in Nemesis, a multidisciplinary application used during Plan/Build/Operate phases of resource management. He also trained Watson on 5G related concepts using cognitive tools and worked as a C++ Application Developer. Pranav has also worked as a Software Engineer at Verixo Technologies Private Limited, an innovative consulting and technology solution providing company engaged in software research, design, development, and integration of embedded and enterprise software solutions for customers across various industry verticals. Pranav holds a Bachelor of Engineering (BE) in Information Technology from Thadomal Shahani Engineering College and has completed his Higher Secondary Certificate (HSC) in Science from Bhavans College and SSC from Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel Vidyalaya. He has a strong technical skill set, including software engineering, Python, dotNET, research science, integration, mobile, and infra. With 8.79 years of relevant experience, Pranav is a skilled and knowledgeable developer with a passion for innovation and problem-solving.
