Pranav Khanna is an AI researcher and enthusiast with a passion for cutting-edge technology. He is currently working as a Software Engineer- Cloud at HSBC. Pranav has a Bachelor of Technology degree in Electrical Engineering from IIT and completed his schooling at Lilavatibai Podar Senior Secondary School. Pranav has 2.43 years of relevant experience in the field of AI, Reinforcement Learning, Software Engineering, Research Science, CNN, Deep Learning, ML, Object Detection, Computer Vision, OpenCV, Python, Tensorflow, and more. He has worked as a Machine Learning Intern at The University of British Columbia, where he created a synthetic pseudo-realistic dataset for Human Intent Recognition (HIR) from an existing Human Activity Recognition (HAR) dataset. He also developed a novel lightweight deep learning architecture using dilated CNN, highlighting its efficiency over LSTM and GRU by comparing prediction power and computational efficiency. His work has been accepted at IEEE-SMC, Toronto 2020. Pranav has also worked as a Deep Learning Intern at Veda Labs, where he created a Currency Recognition system using Deep Learning and Computer Vision. He used Object Detection algorithms like Yolo_v3 and Yolo_v3 Tiny and Classifiers like Mobilenet_v2 and Inception in the project. The Yolo_v3 model gave an accuracy of 99.54% on the test set. Apart from his work, Pranav is also a professional mountaineer and loves to collaborate on highly creative and cutting-edge projects.
