Pranav Machingal is a driven and accomplished PHD Graduate Student at the Indian Institute of Technology, Bombay. He is currently pursuing his Ph.D. studies at the Department of Industrial Engineering and Operations Research, where he is working with biologists on predicting protein functions from sequences using deep learning methods. His research is focused on the use of Transformers, a popular deep learning model for NLP, which has attracted a lot of research interest for this purpose. Prior to his current role, Pranav worked as a Project Assistant at the Indian Institute of Science, where he developed bio-inspired learning algorithms for training spiking neural networks for pattern classification. He has also worked as a Software Development Engineer at Vehant Technologies. Pranav's academic background includes a Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science from NIT and a High School diploma from D.A.V. Public School, Airoli. He is currently pursuing his Doctor of Philosophy - PhD from the Indian Institute of Technology, Bombay, which is expected to be completed by December 2024. With over 1.19 years of relevant experience, Pranav has a strong knowledge of deep learning, neural networks, and NLP. He is a skilled research scientist and software engineer who is highly motivated to contribute to the field of artificial intelligence. Pranav is a dedicated and hard-working individual who is committed to achieving his goals and making a positive impact in the industry.
