Pranay Kanwar is an experienced Software Systems Engineer with over 15 years of relevant experience in the field. He is currently working as a Technical Lead at Yahoo! APG Service Engineering and Operations, where he oversees the display advertising infrastructure across multiple teams. Pranay's key responsibilities include designing and automating day-to-day procedures, implementing monitoring for systems and software, standardizing procedures and automations, participating in software and platform architectural discussions and decisions, and providing 12x7 on-call support. Prior to his current role, Pranay served as the Senior Operations Lead at InMobi, where he built and maintained the company's next generation of operational infrastructure and procedures. He also worked as an Architect at Ola, where he designed, built, and maintained the next generation of software, hardware, data infrastructure, applications, and platforms, with a focus on microservices, scalability, performance, security, and developer productivity. Pranay holds a Master's Degree in Cyber Law and Information Security from the Indian Institute of Information Technology and a Bachelor's Degree in Electrical, Electronics, and Communications Engineering from Punjab Technical University. He has expertise in SRE, Senior Software Engineering, infra, and Microservices. Throughout his career, Pranay has demonstrated his ability to work with developers and architects on software operability and monitoring, understand and act on requirements from various development and operations teams across the organization, and align operational requirements with business needs. He is a go-to person for operational design, software operability, troubleshooting, resolving tough production issues, and performance problems.
