Pranay Kundu is a skilled Data Scientist with over 4 years of experience in NLP and Computer Vision projects. Currently working as a Data Scientist III at Vedantu, Pranay is a research-oriented professional with a strong background in data science and analytics. He is also an adept poker player. Before joining Vedantu, Pranay worked at Elucidata as a Data Analyst, where he successfully deployed a visual metabolic analysis web app that is being used by scientists in biotechnology labs across the world. He also deployed a research paper summarization model using topic modelling in Gensim and SciSpacy, which uses the entirety of 25 lakh papers on Pubmed. Pranay analysed lab genomic datasets for clients like Pfizer, Cygnal, UCLA and Princeton to find drug target insights. Pranay has also worked as an Analytics Consultant at Guavus, where he worked on URL categorization using website content, using Natural Language Processing libraries such as NLTK, Gensim, Spacy. He implemented Language processing models such as word2vec, doc2vec, Topic modeling using LDA, and used Recurrent Neural Networks in Pytorch and Tensorflow for Langauge NER and character level predictive modelling. Pranay also built web crawlers to scrape websites for image and text data using scrapy and beautifulsoup. Pranay holds a Bachelor of Technology degree in Electronics and Communications Engineering from Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University. He also completed his HSC from Apeejay College.
