Pranay Takdhat is an experienced Software Engineer with a focus on Data Engineering. He has over 2 years of experience in Big data applications and migration, working with technologies such as Apache Kafka, Spark, Sqoop, Docker, Azure Databricks, and Cosmos DB. He is proficient in programming languages such as Scala, Java, and Python and has experience working with SQL and NoSQL databases like Azure Synapse, Hyperscale, and Cassandra DB. Pranay has experience building reusable and configurable Scala, Python, and Java programs using Spark framework to transform large datasets. He has knowledge of relational database design concepts, coding, and experience in Oracle 11g/12c. He has also worked with container-based technologies like Docker, Kubernetes, and OpenShift. Pranay has experience installing, configuring, and using Hadoop ecosystem components like Hadoop Map Reduce, HDFS, Hive, Sqoop, Pig, Spark, Kafka, and Zookeeper. He has built scalable big-data pipelines/applications/data warehouses with Azure Databricks by migrating data from On-premise databases to Azure Cloud and developed Data warehousing and Reporting capabilities. Pranay has developed Data migration and transformation architecture to consume data from Enterprise Kafka topics in near real-time for in-house applications. He has integrated Databricks notebooks with Azure Data Factory to build Automated Data pipelines with CI/CD capabilities. He has also provisioned and managed databases like Cosmos DB and Cassandra DB. Pranay is proficient in Agile and waterfall Methodology and has experience interfacing with Onsite Stakeholders and supported onsite as well. He has end-to-end ownership for developing, unit testing, and migrating the ETL code with quality and minimal supervision. Pranay holds a Bachelor of Technology degree in Electrical, Electronics, and Communications Engineering from Veermata Jijabai Technological Institute (VJTI).
