Praneet Kumar is a Senior Software Engineer - I at Goibibo with a Bachelor of Technology degree in Computer Science and Engineering from NIT Silchar. At Goibibo, Praneet is part of the dynamic team at InGo-MMT that takes care of the search, availability, rates, promotions, and inventory for hotels for both Goibibo and MakeMyTrip funnels. He has been involved in designing and co-writing the backend for hourly rooms on Go-MMT, making it the first OTA to offer such a feature in the country. He was responsible for mammoth changes w.r.t. cache, inventory management, search, etc. Praneet has also developed a generic template management system that powers cancellation and discounting policies for homestays and low budget properties, which hoteliers can create with just a single click or modify/fill in values based on their preference. Praneet has previously worked as a Summer Intern at Wipro, where he was responsible for creating the frontend part of an anomaly detection system that predicted fraudulent transactions in the credit card dataset on Kaggle with an accuracy over 98%. He used Flask, HTML, CSS, and Javascript for this project.
