Pranish Ramteke is a driven and highly motivated Software Developer at Sleepiz AG. He is currently pursuing a degree in Biomedical Engineering Design at the prestigious Indian Institute of Technology, Madras (IITM). Pranish has a strong educational background in the medical devices industry and has spent the last few months honing his skills as a medical device designer for a startup company. He was responsible for creating a device that assists surgeons in identifying nerves during surgeries, which is currently in the process of being patented. Pranish is passionate about making a positive impact on the world by saving lives, and he finds this to be a constant source of motivation. He is now ready for a challenging role and feels more confident than ever. Pranish thrives in a fast-paced environment and is looking for an opportunity to apply his technical skills and creative problem-solving ability. Pranish has worked with some of the leading companies in the industry, including Shira Medtech and Universitätsklinik Balgrist. At Shira Medtech, he discovered a novel real-time non-invasive intraoperative technique to aid surgeons in identifying nerves based on anisotropic optical reflection of nerve tissues. He developed a working proof of concept to validate the technology on live chicken tissue and is currently testing it on patients at AIIMS Delhi. The patent for mechanical design and technology integration is in progress. At Universitätsklinik Balgrist, Pranish received a full scholarship for the international summer school and attended live surgeries. He pitched a 3D Slicer and Unity3D based overlay segmentation model in augmented reality, which clinicians can use to clearly distinguish bile and cystic ducts and avoid injuring the bile duct during surgeries. Pranish has a diverse skill set that includes software engineering, design, product design, testing, and integration. He is committed to continuous learning and development and is always looking for new challenges to push his limits.
