Pranjal Kacholia is a tech enthusiast and entrepreneur with a passion for developing innovative solutions that simplify people's lives. He is currently pursuing a Master's degree in Computer Science at Stony Brook University and is actively seeking an internship in a Software Developer role. Pranjal is the founder of Eden Smart Homes, a tech startup that enables users to control their electrical appliances using a mobile app and make them programmatically operable based on past behavioral data and fixed schedules. He raised seed funding in Aug'20 and got acquired in Dec'22, and his startup was recognized as one of the Top 30 startups in India by Inc42. Pranjal led a tech team of 7 software engineers working across IoT, Software, and Mobile app development. He structured the MQTT pub/sub architecture to enable two-way interaction between hardware and app, defined topic rules to interact with AWS IoT Core, and devised EventBridge rules and Cron jobs to execute schedules in Eden's mobile application. He formulated the data caching in Redis, thereby decreasing app loading time by 25%, and constructed APIs for namespace environments and mapped the parameters to lambda functions. Pranjal also has experience working as a Technical Product Manager at Get My Parking, where he managed the migration of client requests from concurrent processing to a round-robin fashion using the shared MQTT subscription in VerneMQ. He increased the max client connections by 400% using a cluster of EC2 instances and streamlined the backend software by breaking the monolithic architecture into three different microservices. Pranjal holds a Bachelor of Technology in Chemical Engineering and a Minor in Computer Science from the Indian Institute of Technology, Delhi.
