Pranoy Ray is an accomplished Research Intern with a passion for Mechanical Properties of Materials and Materials Informatics. He is currently interning at the IMaGen Lab in the Mechanical Engineering Department of the Indian Institute of Technology, Bombay. Pranoy is set to begin his PhD studies at the MINED Lab in GeorgiaTech, where he will continue to explore his interests in these fields. Pranoy has a solid background in Metallurgical and Materials Engineering, having completed his Bachelor of Technology at the National Institute of Technology Durgapur in 2020. Prior to this, he completed his schooling in Computer Science at Don Bosco School, Park Circus, Kolkata. With 3.20 years of relevant experience, Pranoy has worked as a Research Assistant and Summer Research Intern at BARC, where he focused on nanocomposites and transition metal doped carbon nanostructures using DFT and First Principles study. He has also written a paper on this topic, which is currently awaiting approval. Pranoy is a skilled Research Scientist with a deep understanding of the mechanical properties of materials and materials informatics. He is highly motivated and passionate about his work, always striving to learn more and make meaningful contributions to his field. With his strong educational background and practical experience, Pranoy is well-equipped to excel in his future studies and career.
