Prapti Mittal is a highly accomplished tech and media executive with over 15 years of experience in general management, corporate strategy, mergers and acquisitions, business development, start-ups, and venture capital. She has a strong track record of leading high-performance, globally distributed teams at both large and small companies to drive growth through P&L ownership, acquisitions, business development, and new business incubation. Prapti is an engineer by training and spent her formative professional years as a data scientist. She is also an experienced venture capitalist with a diverse portfolio spanning early-stage cyber-security, hardware, consumer devices, and SaaS companies. Currently, she is working at Amazon as the M&A, Investments, and Corporate Strategy lead. Prapti is passionate about creating a level playing field for marginalized children through her past work at the World Bank and her present role at Friends of the Children, Boston. She was voted as one of Boston's top 40 under 40 professionals by Boston Business Journal in 2017. Before joining Amazon, Prapti worked at Sony as the Vice President - Global Head of M&A, Strategy, and Partnerships. She managed the corporate development team for both TV and gaming businesses to lead the company's growth through M&A, geographical expansion, new market entry, and new business incubation. She has led 5 acquisitions so far with a total transactional value of $400M+, which have resulted in doubling GSN’s digital revenue and expansion of GSN's operations from the US to 7+ countries globally. Prapti is a founding member of GSN's tech incubator and innovation lab, 1-800-N0TH1NG targeting millennials. She also heads GSN’s digital task force, a cross-functional team created to incubate and scale new digital growth opportunities at GSN TV by driving early-stage business planning and investment cases. Prapti holds an MBA from Harvard Business School, an M.S in Civil and Environmental Engineering from the University of California, Berkeley, and a BS in Civil Engineering from Punjab Engineering College. Her tech stack includes blockchain, data science, research science, backend, infra, senior software engineering, and mobile. Overall, Prapti has 11.60 years of relevant experience in her field.
