Prasanth Mariappan is a highly skilled and experienced Machine Learning Engineer with over 3 years of industrial experience. He is currently working as a Machine Learning Engineer Intern at Citibank, where he has developed a Natural Language Processing (NLP) application using a Deep Learning framework (Keras) in Python to classify incoming emails to the bank's customer service team. He achieved a classification accuracy of 90% using NLTK packages and a Convolutional Neural Network (CNN) for classification. Prasanth has also devised several data extraction functions in Python to capture vital details from customer emails and worked on the development of a fraud detection application in Python, using customer past spending patterns and account history, to identify fraudulent transactions in customer accounts. He used the Cosine similarity feature of Scikit Learn and achieved a classification accuracy of 74%. Prior to his current role, Prasanth worked as a Junior Research Fellow at DRDO, where he developed Matlab scripts for the generation of Load Spectrum of an Armoured Vehicle’s Automatic transmission using field trials data. He also developed First principle models for several components of the Hydraulic circuit, tested and validated those using trials data. Additionally, he has exposure to world-class design experience & techniques from M/s AVL, Austria (ZF Design centre) as a part of the CVRDE Transmission design Team. Prasanth has also worked as an Application Engineer at IASYS, where he primarily worked on the development of Matlab scripts for Engine Test Data analysis and contributed towards the development of a versatile Vehicle Simulation tool based on Simulink environment. Prasanth holds a Master's degree in Computer Engineering from Missouri University of Science and Technology and a Bachelor's degree in Mechatronics, Robotics, and Automation Engineering from Sri Krishna College of Engineering and Technology.
