Prasanth Neelapalem is a senior director of software engineering with over 22 years of experience in building world-class enterprise software. He is a passionate engineering leader with strong technical and product management skills, and a track record of hiring and building world-class engineering teams and products in diverse software domains. Prasanth is focused on driving engineering efficiency improvements by transforming teams to agile and embracing modern engineering tools and metrics. He has demonstrated experience transforming teams to build next-generation products both for hybrid cloud environments and cloud-native environments. Currently, Prasanth is the senior director of software engineering at Digital Guardian, where he is responsible for the product engineering for multiple flagship products, including the Network Data Leak Prevention product suite and DG Management Server. He leads seven scrum teams of around 50 engineers, testers, architects, and directors, and has built the next level of leadership in the teams. Prasanth has also initiated DevOps efforts to move away from homegrown automation infrastructure tools to using infrastructure as code tools like Terraform, SaltStack/Ansible to drive automated product provisioning and configuration. Prior to his current role, Prasanth worked at Digital Guardian as director of software engineering, where he introduced agile scrum and enhanced engineering productivity resulting in predictable product releases every quarter. He drove implementation and delivery of multiple customer-focused product features and closer integration of the DG products. Prasanth also drove efforts to re-architect the monolithic product architecture to a services-based architecture to enable product transition to the cloud. Before joining Digital Guardian, Prasanth worked as the director of software engineering at Oracle, where he set up an engineering team in India for the Food & Beverage unit of Oracle Hospitality GBU. He hired a team of 50+ engineers, testers, architects, business analysts, and managers to drive engineering for the Food & Beverage product suite. Prasanth has a Bachelor's in Technology in Electrical, Electronics, and Communications Engineering from Sri Venkateswara University. His tech stack includes infra, integration, DevOps, CI/CD, product management, Ansible, Terraform, test, and senior software engineering.
