Prashan Patel is a highly inquisitive Engineer who is always excited about new technologies and their implementation in industrial projects. He is currently pursuing a Master of Engineering course as a full-time student at the University of Toronto and is seeking job or internship opportunities in Data Analytics. Prashan is passionate about becoming a successful professional by acquiring knowledge and experience to give back to society in some way and contribute towards making this world a better place to live. Prashan's current role is as a Research Assistant (Data Science) at the University of Toronto Scarborough. In this role, he is responsible for procuring data, combining various datasets, and estimating econometric regression models. He works collaboratively with team members to make a code with various datasets to perform Regression. Prashan is also responsible for performing Data Processing, Exploratory data analysis, and carrying out Visualizations for determining correlations and feature extraction. Additionally, he is collecting and cleaning US Census data from the year 1940 to 2020 for the Covenants project. Prashan is researching mortgage-related documents to prepare a database for the house prices for the state of Minnesota. He is combining this data with several other data like Highway, Lakes, School attendance, and building characteristics data collected from different sources and preparing a Machine Learning model for predicting future housing decision trends. Prashan has worked as a Barista at Starbucks and as a Research Assistant at the University of Toronto, providing assistance with research activities related to Gujarati language, literature, and heritage. Prashan's education history includes a Master of Engineering - MEng in Analytics (Data Science and Machine Learning) from the University of Toronto, which he is expected to complete in December 2022. He also holds a B.Tech in Civil Engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology, Roorkee, which he completed in January 2018.
