Prashant Dagar is a seasoned Data Management Specialist at Google Cloud with over 24 years of experience in the industry. He is a subject matter expert in data management and analytics, having helped numerous organizations modernize their data management and analytics platforms through hybrid and cloud-only architectures. Currently, Prashant works at Google as a Data Management Specialist, where he leverages his expertise to provide guidance and support to clients in managing their data effectively. He is well-versed in the latest data management and analytics technologies and is committed to helping organizations achieve their data management goals. Prior to joining Google, Prashant worked at Oracle as a Principal Solution Engineer in the Cloud Platform team. In this role, he worked closely with customers to understand their businesses, challenges, and requirements, and proposed, designed, and architected cloud/hybrid solution architectures to resolve their business challenges and optimize their efforts and costs. Before Oracle, Prashant spent 11 years at IBM, where he played various roles, including programmer, tester, manager, and senior manager leading a team of enthusiastic folks across various releases of the product. He was part of the DB2 Database new development team and was an expert in data warehousing, shared and shared nothing MPP architectures, and in-memory columnar technology. He also played a key role in evangelizing DB2 in the Indian market. Prashant holds a Master of Science (MS) degree in Computer Software Engineering from Birla Institute of Technology & Science, Pilani. He is a Senior Software Engineer and has experience in testing as well.
