Prashant Gandhi is a highly skilled Firmware Engineer with a passion for embedded systems and a proven track record of success. He is currently working at Schweitzer Engineering Laboratories (SEL) as a Software Engineer, where he has been responsible for developing different schemes libraries used in power line protection devices in C++ language using Test Driven Development (TDD) process to reduce development time and improve software stack. He has also extensively worked on Jenkins to implement continuous integration (CI) and Continuous deployment (CD) processes and integrating Bitbucket into the CI environment along with Jenkins. Prashant is a graduate of San Jose State University, where he earned his Master of Science in Computer Engineering with Specialization in Embedded System. He also holds a Bachelor of Technology degree in Electrical, Electronics and Communications Engineering from Nirma University, Ahmedabad, Gujarat, India. Prashant's technical skills include proficiency in programming languages such as C, C++, Embedded C, Python, and JavaScript. He is also skilled in communication protocols such as SPI, UART, CAN, and I2C. He has experience working with tools and software such as PX4 autopilot firmware, GitHub (version control), Eclipse, Linux, and STM32 Bootloader. In addition, he has worked with processors and platforms such as Raspberry Pi 3, ARM Cortex-M3/M4, STM32 Nucleo, Pixhawk 4, and NVIDIA Jetson nano. Prashant is proficient in embedded OS such as FreeRTOS (Real-Time Operating System) and Linux and has experience with unit testing tools such as Unity and CMock. Prashant has 3.94 years of relevant experience and has worked with both established companies and startups. He has worked as a Firmware Engineer at AMP | Auto Motive Power, where he worked on the development of ISO-15118 Electric Vehicle charge software stack which facilitates DC fast charge communication. He has also written GPIO, SPI driver for Infineon TriCore TC297 in C language and developed and improved software stack using unit testing – Ceedling framework (Test Driven Development - TDD method).
