Prashant Goyal is a seasoned professional with over 14 years of experience in leading investment firms, retail banking, and payments. He is currently working as Product and Business Development at BillDesk, where he is involved in product development and use case designing for the recently launched Unified Payment Interface and Bharat Bill Pay Services by NPCI. Prashant has worked with leading investment banks in derivatives, Forex, and Fixed income securities domain. He has experience in retail banking, ranging from resource allocation, productivity enhancement, data analytics, design of new programs to improve key metrics, last mile implementation of various contests, and RnR programs. In 2013, Prashant co-founded Simpel, a digital bridge for offline merchants enabling payments and marketing for them. Simpel found its use in B2B category as well and started getting used by existing and new merchants of BillDesk. Prashant worked on sales and operations for Simpel, and was involved in product implementation, marketing, sales, and operations for the startup. Prior to Simpel, Prashant worked as a Product Manager at ICICI Bank, where he was responsible for outbound sales channel management and household savings account acquisition and analytics. He was responsible for target setting, productivity enhancement, learning and development, indent allocation basis catchment potential and performance analysis. Prashant has a Master of Business Administration (M.B.A.) degree in Marketing, Strategy, and Finance from IIM and an Engineer's Degree in Textile Technology from Indian Institute of Technology, Delhi. He has a strong tech stack in Mobile and product management. Prashant is passionate about entrepreneurship and is interested in exploring and evaluating new ideas. He started his own venture, a coaching institute, 12 years back, which showcases his entrepreneurial spirit. Prashant has managed relationships with offline vendor unions and was able to successfully generate a mandate for the usage of the solution in the offline category. His experience in finance, legal, and HR activities of the startup like hiring, disbursement of payments, accounts, legal, etc., showcases his versatility.
