Prashant Gupta is an experienced Engineering Manager at Fortanix with over 8 years of experience in software quality and automation. He has a diverse background in virtualization, cloud, hyper converged infrastructure, SAN, device drivers, and data management solutions. Currently serving as a Senior Software Engineer at Fortanix, Prashant has also worked as a Member of Technical Staff in Test at Rubrik and as a Member of Technical Staff at Nutanix. At Rubrik, Prashant was engaged in test and framework automation, system and performance test management, and lead end-to-end test planning and execution efforts. He also worked on cloud-native data/vm deployment and management, microservices in cloud deployments, replication and archival solutions, Cassandra and cockroach DBs, cloud data management, and O365 suite cloud backup and restore solutions. At Nutanix, Prashant was a lead for end-to-end test planning and execution efforts on HyperV on HCI. He has expertise in development and automation of hyper converged infrastructure on MS Hyper-V, experience in writing test automation using Python and PowerShell, and experience in working in sprints following Agile methodology. He also has experience with Active Directory, DNS, SCVMM, Failover-Clustering, Hyper-V Manager workflows, and 3rd party backup software such as Commvault and Veeam. Prashant holds an Engineer’s Degree in Information Technology from Vishveshwaraiah Technological University and completed his high school education in Mathematics and Computer Science from Central Board of Secondary Education.
