Prashant Kumar is a highly skilled Sr. Software Engineer with over 7 years of experience in the industry. He is currently working at Roku as a Sr. Software Developer in the Web Engineering Team. With a background in Computer Engineering, Prashant has a strong foundation in software development and has worked extensively with AWS, Java, and web technologies. Prior to joining Roku, Prashant worked at Amazon as a Software Development Engineer, where he designed and developed large-scale distributed systems and platforms to benchmark and streamline the process for machine learning model improvements for Alexa Speaker ID model. He also developed an Identity and Access Management system from scratch that manages and vends access credentials for Alexa critical data inside a secure platform. Prashant has also worked on developing software solutions for abuse prevention and designed and developed an internal service to manage rules using various AWS technologies. Prashant is a sport programmer and has qualified for ACM ICPC regionals twice. He is also proficient in various tech stacks such as ML, Android, Ansible, AI, Integration, Neural Networks, infra, Hyperparameter, Deep Learning, Kubernetes, Docker, Javascript, PHP, Jenkins, and Search. Prashant's expertise in these areas has enabled him to build services from scratch and automate the release of language models for Alexa using various AWS technologies like Step function, S3, API gateway, and Dynamo DB. Prashant holds a Bachelor of Technology degree in Computer Engineering from Delhi College of Engineering. He is a quick learner, a team player, and has excellent problem-solving skills.
