Prashant Mishra is a highly skilled Software Engineer with over 7 years of experience in developing data storage solutions for a wide variety of use-cases. He is currently working as a Software Engineer III at Google, where he is part of the Analytical Storage team. Prashant is passionate about highly scalable distributed systems and has a keen interest in improving the performance of such systems. Currently, Prashant is working on Napa, a new peta-scale, multi-homed, distributed storage engine optimized for high-update throughput of metrics data. He is responsible for developing data ingestion solutions that ensure high throughput and low latency. Napa offers better query and ingestion performance, higher cost and resource efficiency, higher scalability, and faster schema changes. Prashant's expertise in high throughput and low latency data ingestion is invaluable to the project. Prashant has previously worked as a Software Engineer and Software Engineering Intern at Google. During his internship, he worked on Google's distributed data warehousing system for ads metrics and improved the latency of data ingestion for small updates via in-memory batching. Prashant holds a Master of Science (MS) in Computer Science from the University of Florida and a B.Tech (Hons) in Bioinformatics from Jaypee University. He also has a Science degree in Computer Science from St. Gabriel's Academy, Roorkee, India. His educational background and experience in software engineering make him a valuable asset to any team.
