Prashant Panchal is a highly skilled software development engineering professional with over 8 years of experience in building end-to-end systems based on microservice architecture. He is currently working as an Associate at Goldman Sachs, where he is part of the transactions team developing an ecosystem of distributed microservices that detect fraudulent credit card transactions in real-time. This project aims to replace the current vendor functionality costing around $10 million annually. Prashant's key skills include software development, algorithms, data structures, version control, Kafka, MongoDB, S3, microservices, and Spring Boot. He has a strong understanding of software development principles and a hands-on approach to building complex systems. Prior to his current role, Prashant was a Technology Analyst at Goldman Sachs, where he worked on the Apple Card project, the first-ever credit card issued by Goldman Sachs with Apple as a partner. He worked on building a payments service that allows Apple Card users to schedule payments against their outstanding credit card amount. He also developed the functionality of sending out reminders to people who had outstanding balances against their credit card before the statement generation happened. Prashant also worked on breaking down the monolithic system to domain-specific microservices that are easy to develop, deploy, and maintain. Before joining Goldman Sachs, Prashant worked as a Software Development Engineer at Kony Labs, where he developed client-side libraries to implement a feature enabling off-line syncing for both Android and iOS devices. He employed Core Java, multithreading, and Objective-C to create the Android and iOS libraries, respectively. Prashant holds a Bachelor's degree in Metallurgical Engineering from NIT Tiruchirappalli. He completed his Higher Secondary education in Mathematics and Computer Science from St. Mary's Convent Inter College.
