Prashant Ravi is a highly experienced Senior Software Engineer, currently working at Magic Leap, where he is responsible for the development of the Software Development Kit (SDK). With almost a decade of relevant experience, Prashant has a proven track record of success in the tech industry. Prior to joining Magic Leap, Prashant worked as a Staff Embedded Software Engineer at Realtek Semiconductor Corp. where he developed application level software HAL for the Realtek RTL8XXX Series of boards, targeted at IoT applications. He worked with the FREE RTOS kernel to develop applications in a memory constrained and processor limited embedded system. He also handled porting of algorithms like mp3 decoding, uvc motion jpeg capture. Prashant provided inputs to system design as well as operating system design for new customer projects. Prashant has also worked as a Part-Time Research Assistant at Nanyang Technological University, where he worked on high-level programming abstraction for acceleration of applications on FPGA's and GPU's. He worked with professor Douglas L Maskell for this project. Prashant holds a Master's degree in Embedded Systems from Nanyang Technological University and a Bachelor's degree in Instrumentation and Controls from SRM University. He has a strong technical background and is proficient in various software engineering technologies.
