Prashant Singh is a Senior Engineering Manager at Adobe with over 14 years of relevant experience. He graduated from IIIT Hyderabad in 2009 with a Bachelor of Technology in Computer Vision. Prashant is passionate about the web, HTML5, and graphic design. He is currently working at Adobe as a Senior Engineering Manager, where he previously held the position of Engineering Manager and Computer Scientist. Prashant has been working on Brackets, an open-source web editor, for the past year. He developed a light and secure server using NodeJS to collect data on how the product is being used. This data provides key insights that drive the evolution of the product. Prashant also improved the performance of "find in files" in Brackets, reducing search time from 10-80 seconds to 0.2-0.5 seconds. Prashant has also been working on an online graphic creation tool called "SVG interact" on the side. He worked on this tool with another engineer and a designer from Adobe. The tool allows users to import and customize graphics created from other tools like Illustrator. These raw graphics can then be animated, made responsive, and exported as smart assets. This work helped Prashant and his team publish two technical papers in international conferences: SXSW and Graphicalweb 2014. Prashant's education background includes a Bachelor of Technology in Computer Vision from IIIT Hyderabad and attending Bal Bharti Public School.
