Prashanthi Kadambi is a systems software engineer with a passion for the hardware-software intersection. She is currently a PhD student at the Department of Computational and Data Sciences at the Indian Institute of Science, where she is a member of the DREAM (Distributed Research on Emerging Applications and Machines) Lab. Her research interests include operating systems, compilers, computer architecture, and virtualization. Prior to her current role, Prashanthi worked as a Graphics Software Engineer at Intel, where she was part of the Visual Technologies Team (VTT) and worked on developing Graphics Device Drivers for various Intel platforms. She has also worked as a Project Assistant at the High Performance Computing lab at the Indian Institute of Science, where she worked on Random Graph Generation using tools and technologies such as Python, NetworkX, Graphviz, and Dataflow graphs/Data Dependence Graphs. Prashanthi holds a Master of Technology degree in Electronic System Design Specializing in Embedded Systems from the International Institute of Information Technology – Bangalore, and a Bachelor of Technology degree in Electronics and Communication Engineering from Ramaiah Institute of Technology. She also completed her Pre-University education in PCMB (Physics, Chemistry, Maths, Biology) from Vidya Mandir Independent PU college, Malleswaram, and her SSLC from Cluny Convent High School, Jalahalli. In addition to her technical expertise, Prashanthi is also a voracious reader and sporadic writer. She maintains a blog called Virtual Ramblings, where she writes about her thoughts and experiences in the world of technology. She is also active on Medium, where she shares her insights on various topics related to software engineering and computer science. Overall, Prashanthi has 4.85 years of relevant experience in the field of systems software engineering, and her skills include research, software engineering, and Python. She is a driven and passionate individual who is committed to making a positive impact in the world of technology.
