Prateek Gupta is an accomplished Engineering Manager with over 10 years of relevant experience in the software industry. He has a passion for using software to solve practical problems and believes in the power of programming to transform and improve the lives of people around the world. Prateek started his career as an Android developer with Samsung Research Institute Noida, where he worked on a variety of projects targeting multiple geographical regions and got 2 patents filed during this time. He then worked with CarDekho.com on their consumer app and majorly contributed to redesign the home screen and car details screen. Prateek is also an avid game developer and has built several games on Android, including Race to the top, My KPI Filler, and MovieMania Hangman. He joined Grofers as an Android developer in May 2016 and built the warehouse tech team from scratch, which was capable of running offline. Currently, Prateek is working with Grofers as an Engineering Manager and is responsible for managing a team of 14 people, including 8 SDEs, 4 SDETs, and 2 product solution engineers. Prateek is a patient listener and likes to manage people. He is known for his ability to communicate technical concepts to business stakeholders and vice versa. As an Engineering Manager, his primary responsibilities include working with the Product team as a partner in getting business results delivered, identifying areas of strategic technical debt, and managing team members with different skill sets and technical areas of focus. Outside of work, Prateek likes to play his Xbox and go for long drives in his car. He is a B.Tech graduate in Information Technology from MANIT, Bhopal, and completed his 12th from St. Paul's Convent Sr. Sec. School. Prateek's tech stack includes Senior Software Engineer, Android, Software Engineer, and Research Scientist.
