Prateek Singh is a highly skilled ML Scientist with a strong background in AI and ML. He is currently a Senior Associate-Machine Learning Scientist at JP Morgan and Chase, where he has implemented various deep learning and NLP systems, speech recognition, and computer vision. Prateek is also interested in statistical ML, neuroscience, and quantum computing. Prior to his current role, Prateek was a Graduate Researcher in ML and AI at Carnegie Mellon University, where he worked as a Graduate Teaching Assistant. During his time at CMU, he created course modules on question-answering systems over the SQuAD dataset, utilizing techniques such as information-theoretic Tf-Idf, logistic regression, and neural architecture. He also designed a project to predict ratings from Amazon product reviews. Prateek curated research in applied ML and data science as a Data Science Seminar at CMU. Prateek has also worked as a Machine Learning Intern in Speech Recognition at Medallia, where he built a language-identification system between English and French for the Canadian market using x-vectors embeddings. He accelerated the training pipeline by 35x, reducing the training time from 40 hours to approximately 1 hour. Prateek analyzed the speech dataset to alleviate skews, lowering the model error rates. Prateek holds a Masters of Computational Data Science from Carnegie Mellon University and a Bachelor of Technology (B.Tech.) in Computer Science from VIT. He attended Delhi Public School Ghaziabad Vasundhara before pursuing higher education.
