Prathibha Bisarahalli is an experienced software engineer with a passion for building databases and scalable distributed systems. She is currently working at Google as a Senior Software Engineer in the relational database kernel team. Prathibha has a wealth of experience in the technology industry, having worked for over 14 years in various roles at companies such as Clumio, Couchbase, and Microsoft. At Clumio, Prathibha developed Backup and Restore as a Cloud Native SaaS service for Relational Databases, demonstrating her expertise in cloud-based technologies. Prior to that, she spent close to 6 years at Couchbase, where she contributed significantly to the Global Secondary Indexing team, working on index management, index scans, query pushdowns, reliability, and scalability features. Her work at Couchbase helped to make the distributed NoSQL database more efficient and reliable. Before joining Clumio and Couchbase, Prathibha worked at Microsoft, where she worked on different parts of Biztalk Server and Windows Azure BizTalk Service. Her experience at Microsoft further honed her skills in building distributed systems and databases. Prathibha is a graduate of RV College of Engineering, where she earned a Bachelor's degree in Information Science. She also holds a PUC degree in Science from MES College of Arts, Commerce & Science, and an SSLC degree from Vijaya High School. Prathibha's technical skills include expertise in software engineering, NoSQL databases, and Azure.
