Prathyusha Yayavaram is a highly motivated Computer Science graduate student at the University of Southern California. She has a keen interest in Data Structures and Algorithms, Java, Backend Engineering, AI, NLP, and Game Development. With over 3 years of significant managerial and technical experience as a Senior Software Developer and SDE at Myntra and Sabre, Prathyusha has gained strong expertise in microservices, distributed systems, data structures, and algorithms. She has taken ownership of critical features and led the whole team in designing and developing complex service architectures. Prathyusha is an active participant in Hackathons and Coding competitions. She loves public speaking and has been an active toastmaster for 2 years in a club affiliated with Sabre. She has served as VP-PR for more than a year, promoting and conducting various club-level and area-level events. Apart from her professional life, Prathyusha has other hobbies such as singing, playing the violin, and speed cubing. Currently, Prathyusha works as a Senior Software Engineer at Myntra, where she has designed and developed a platform to provide an event orchestration capability for Journey Managers to define and execute User Journeys. She has taken complete ownership of developing the 'Product Rating Journey' feature, which involves building a Finite State Machine that would capture the states of users and take actions such as rewarding, sending notification, etc., based on their state. Prathyusha has also worked on building the Scratch Card service from scratch in the Myntra application, involving high-level and low-level designing of the service and developing the same with a tech stack involving Java, Spring Boot, MongoDB, Kafka, Redis, etc. Before joining Myntra, Prathyusha worked as an Associate Software Engineer at Sabre, where she owned BRD understanding for a complex enhancement and presented it to the entire team to facilitate a common understanding. She played the role of Business Analyst and assisted the product owner in creating user stories and product backlog prioritization. Prathyusha has also conceptualized and developed a dynamic business rules engine for dynamic price calculations based on complex conditions using ReactJS, Spring Boot, and REST API calls. Prathyusha holds a Bachelor of Technology degree in Computer Science from Vellore Institute of Technology and is currently pursuing a Master of Science in Computer Science at the University of Southern California.
