Pratik Somaiya is an experienced AVP at Citi with over 12 years of experience in software development and testing in the BFSI industry. He is a strong leader with 5+ years of management/leadership experience in software development and testing. Pratik has extensive experience in working through the design/development, release cycle, and delivering software products. He is passionate about building capability for effective engagement and execution, as well as building thought leadership for wider adoption of DevOps/Agile, APIs, reusable services, and emerging technologies. Pratik has a proven track record of providing technical leadership to engineering teams for delivering the highest quality solutions. He has solid experience in managing a team of 20+ associates and has prior experience in leading development leads. Pratik is results-oriented, independent, and self-motivated, with experience in both waterfall and agile methodologies. Currently, Pratik is working as an AVP at Citi, where he is the Pre-Production & Production Support Tech Lead for Payments. He manages pre-production release stakeholder management, production deployment support, and pre-production/production issue triaging/management. In his past roles, Pratik has worked as a Lead Mobile Consultant from Globant at HSBC and as a Mobile Lead Architect at Globant. He has deep understanding of UI/UX, Apple Human Interface Guidelines (AHIG), wireframing, product design, and development. Pratik has managed and ensured core libraries are maintained and versioned across the team. He has also imparted training for new technical topics and worked across the entire product life cycle from concept, design, build, and test to deployment. Pratik has provided high-level development estimates and along with project delivery risks and in-depth analysis. He has managed end-to-end project deliveries within the timeframe allocated and conducted technical interviews, team performance assessment, team development plan, and team building activities. Pratik holds a Master of Computer Applications (M.C.A.) in Artificial Intelligence from Saurashtra University and a Bachelor of Science in Information Technology (B.Sc.
