Praveen Rai is a seasoned software professional with over 11 years of experience in Font Management, embedded software applications, and Agile methodologies. He is a Certified Scrum Master (CSM) and has been practicing the Spotify model across his organization. Praveen believes in the quote “Perfection is not attainable, but if we chase perfection we can catch excellence” and strives to achieve excellence in his work. As a Project Manager at dlt labs, Praveen is responsible for guiding his team on how to use Agile/Scrum practices and values to delight customers. He assesses the Scrum Maturity of the team and organization and coaches the team to higher levels of maturity, at a pace that is sustainable and comfortable for the team and organization. Praveen facilitates discussion, decision making, and conflict resolution, and assists with internal and external communication, improving transparency, and radiating information. He supports and educates the Product Owner, especially on grooming and maintaining the product backlog. Praveen ensures the development processes are followed and contributes to process improvement activities, aiming to ensure the best quality outcomes. He provides all support to the team using a servant leadership style whenever possible, and leads by example. Praveen also measures metrics and monitors the team’s performance and regularly reports the combined outcomes. Praveen has previously worked as a Senior Specialist Scrum Master at Sun Life, where he worked as a Servant leader to enable the team to become self-organized and cross-functional. He developed standards and guidelines for the agile process and helped teams participate in user journey workshops, enabling them to think of customer-centric solutions. Praveen also proactively sought project dependency and aligned it to increment product development and managed budget scoping and maintained cost measures. As an Agile Practitioner at Monotype, Praveen practiced the Spotify model across the organization and coached the team on best Agile practices. He facilitated Scrum ceremonies and encouraged active team participation, aligned business priorities with Sprint goals, and acted as a Servant leader for Scrum teams. Praveen holds a Bachelor of Technology (B.Tech.) in Information Technology from UPTU and completed his high school education from Salwan Public School.
