Prayas Jain is a highly motivated and skilled Data Science Manager with a strong background in Mechanical Engineering and a keen interest in Machine Learning, Deep Learning, Data Analytics, and Computer Vision. Currently working at Axis Bank, Prayas is responsible for using Machine Learning Algorithms to analyze financial data. He has gained 1.20 years of relevant experience in this field. Prayas has a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering from the prestigious Indian Institute of Technology, Bombay, which he is expected to complete in 2022. He is a Computer Vision Expert and has a strong understanding of Data Science, ML, OpenCV, Deep Learning, Data Engineering, NLP, and Python. Prior to his current role, Prayas worked as a Data Engineer at Collegedoors, where he developed a Semantic Similarity algorithm to flag duplicate questions using Python, OpenCV, and NLP. He also innovated a new and faster method for formatting questions/options from raw data using OpenCV. Prayas designed an algorithm to detect irrelevant questions based on the behavioral data of students and incorporated an ML model to measure the difficulty level of questions and allocate standard attempting time. Prayas also worked as a Business Development Intern at Collegedoors, where he collaborated with the Marketing and Sales team for lead collection and improving conversion rates. He has driven sales growth by finding and engaging qualified prospects via phone calls and email. Prayas implemented a customer-centric sales plan and collected 20+ leads of Coaching Institutes for product sales. Prayas is a highly analytical and detail-oriented individual with excellent problem-solving skills. He is a quick learner and has a passion for staying up-to-date with the latest technologies and trends in the field of Data Science.
