Preyaa Patel is a highly skilled Research Engineer with a strong background in Machine Learning and Data Science. She is currently pursuing her Master of Science degree in Electrical and Computer Engineering with a focus on Machine Learning and Data Science at the University of California San Diego. Preyaa completed her Bachelor of Technology in Electrical Engineering from the prestigious Indian Institute of Technology Indore, where she developed a solid foundation in programming languages such as C, C++, Python, Octave, and MATLAB. Preyaa has a keen interest in the applications of Machine Learning tools and techniques to solve real-world problems. She has worked as an AI/ML Engineer at General Motors for six months, where she developed a strong understanding of the industry and gained hands-on experience in Keras, Tensorflow, pandas, scikit-learn, opencv, ATLAS, TCAD Tools, and Sentaurus. Currently, she is working as a Research Engineer at Amazon, where she has built a tool that enables customers to index their dataset/s by extracting Contrastive Language Image Pretraining (CLIP) embeddings into a multimodal index and perform knn search by querying by text and by image using the AWS OpenSearch Service. Preyaa has also worked as a Big Data Developer at General Motors and as a Summer Research Intern at Northeastern University, where she gained valuable experience in web development, big data, and data science. She has a strong educational background, including a Bachelor of Technology in Electrical Engineering from IIT Indore and a Master of Science in ECE from UC San Diego. Preyaa's technical skills include Research Scientist, AWS, AI, ML, Search, Keras, OpenCV, Deep Learning, Scikit, Web, Big Data, Python, Data Scientist, Tensorflow, and Pandas.
