Prianshu Chatterjee is a skilled Data Scientist with a passion for applying analytics, economic theories, and new technologies to solve real-world challenges. With a background in Economics, he understands that many problems can be simplified and mitigated with an analytical lens, patience, and diligent effort. Currently, Prianshu is a Senior Associate at Bain & Co. where he works on delivering analytics use cases across clients and industries while being one of the core developers of new IPs. He is also part of BCN Labs, where he works on developing and making deployable ideas from various academic domains. Prianshu's expertise lies in creating and deploying demand forecasting engines, building client confidence with successful POCs, and developing supply-demand simulations and business heuristics based matching algorithms. Before joining Bain & Co., Prianshu worked as a Senior Analyst and Analyst (Data Science) at McKinsey, where he led the client DNA CoE to build and successfully scale up B2B product recommendation systems for a major CPG client. He also developed and deployed demand forecasting engines for major tech clients, created and implemented supply-demand simulations, and built regression and optimization-based solutions for energy clients. Prianshu was also a co-creator of IPs that expedite the delivery of high accuracy models and analysis for use cases in regression, product recommendation, time series forecasting, and exploratory data analysis. Prianshu holds an MSc in Quantitative Economics from the Indian Statistical Institute - Kolkata, where his main areas of focus were Econometric Methods, Game Theory, Mechanism Design, and Microeconomics. He also holds a Bachelor's degree in Economics from Presidency University and a High School degree in Commerce from Kendriya Vidyalaya Cossipore. Prianshu's tech stack includes expertise in Data Science, Research Science, Recommendation Systems, NLP, Python, ML, SQL, AWS, Django, Azure, and Web.
