Priyanka Naik is a Staff Research Scientist at IBM India Research Lab with a strong interest in networked systems. Her research focuses on Network Function Virtualization (NFV) and she is currently part of the Hybrid Cloud Research group at IBM Research, working on performance aspects of Telco NFV systems. Priyanka's Ph.D. thesis centered on providing tools for efficient building and deployment of Virtual Network Functions (VNFs), demonstrating her expertise in this area. With 2.44 years of relevant experience, Priyanka has previously worked as a Research Scientist at IBM and a Research Intern at VMware. During her time at VMware, she was part of the Telco NFV group, where she analyzed the impact of Intel Cache Allocation Technology (CAT) on network function workloads. Her experience in both academia and industry has given her a unique perspective on the challenges facing networked systems and has allowed her to develop innovative solutions to address these challenges. Priyanka has a strong educational background, having earned a Doctor of Philosophy - PhD in Computer Engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology, Bombay, a Master of Technology (MTech) in Computer Science and Information Security from Manipal Institute of Technology, and a Bachelor of Engineering (B.E.) in Computer Science from the University of Mumbai. Her educational background, combined with her experience in both academia and industry, has made her a valuable asset to the research community.
