Pulkit Mohan is an experienced software engineer with a demonstrated history of developing fast, accurate, and self-tuning large-scale distributed systems in on-premise as well as public, private, and hybrid cloud environments. With expertise in databases, building data pipelines and models, messaging systems, and cloud security, Pulkit enjoys new challenges and solving complex problems. Currently serving as the Vice President at Goldman Sachs, Pulkit is working on developing a highly distributed and resilient platform that provides near real-time updates on the key metrics that traders rely on to serve the clients of Goldman Sachs. His day-to-day work consists of designing and developing highly scalable and fault-tolerant features for the system, enhancing the system to use the latest technologies, and rolling it out across businesses. Pulkit strives to develop solutions that scale across different competitive technologies with minimal changes to the backend code. Prior to his current role, Pulkit worked as an Associate at Goldman Sachs, where he was responsible for developing a highly distributed and resilient platform that provides near real-time updates on the key metrics that traders rely on to serve the clients of Goldman Sachs. His day-to-day work consisted of designing and developing new features and deploying the platform on existing desks. Before joining Goldman Sachs, Pulkit worked as a Senior Member of Technical Staff at Oracle, where he was part of the Database Cloud Development Team. He worked on the design and development of a backend framework for the large-scale distributed Database-as-a-Service (DBaaS) platform that drives Oracle's Database on Oracle Public Cloud, Private Cloud, and Hybrid Cloud. Pulkit developed several cool features, including Pluggable Database (PDB) APIs for Autonomous Database and Exadata Cloud Service, Isolated Wallets for Pluggable Databases in Cloud, Key Management Service (KMS) for databases in Cloud, Exadata Cloud Service Shared Oracle Homes, DBaaS CLI, and DBaaS API. Pulkit holds a Bachelor of Technology (BTech) degree in Information Technology from MNNIT. He also completed his ISC from City Montessori School and his schooling from St. Francis College Lucknow. His technical skills include Software Engineering, Backend, RabbitMQ, NoSQL, MongoDB, and Kafka. With 8.18 years of relevant experience, Pulkit is a highly skilled and accomplished software engineer.
