Punit Nathani is a highly experienced software engineer specializing in front-end development with a passion for technology and a love of keyboard shortcuts. With over 11 years of relevant experience, he has worked in large corporations, SMEs, and startups, gaining a broad range of skills and knowledge across various industries and platforms. Currently working as a Senior Software Engineer at Sophos, Punit is part of the framework UI team in Ahmedabad. His primary responsibilities include developing and maintaining the UI component library written in Angular, understanding code for older versions and fixing bugs, creating and maintaining documentation for code and processes, and participating in Agile practices such as sprint grooming, planning, and retrospectives. He is also known for his rigorous and unabashed code reviews and his ability to celebrate birthdays with enthusiasm. Prior to his current role, Punit worked as a Software Engineer at Noggin Asia Pte Ltd, where he was in charge of developing a mobile app, Podsense, that helps marketers target ads to end-users based on PDPA-compliant-securely-stored-in-a-docker personal data that hides the PII. He was responsible for ideating and building a production-grade app using Ionic, Sass, and AngularJS, developer-in-charge of pushing updates to app stores, and helped automate the EC2 instance creation using Amazon Web Services Java SDK. He was also a technical lead for an outsourcing project, built a tool to automate load testing for docker-based account creation, and developed responsive web pages for merchant portals, login, documentation, and FAQs. Punit has also worked as a Senior Software Engineer at Latize Pte Ltd - Information Management, where he was responsible for engineering front-end for flagship products using jQuery and Bootstrap, creating data-driven visualizations using KendoUI, and reducing core-engine algorithm run time from 2+ hours to under 3 minutes. He also made a prototype dashboard demonstrating transaction data statistics for a prospective client using JSP and D3.js. Punit holds a Bachelor of Engineering degree in Computer Engineering from Charotar University and completed his secondary education in Mathematics from C.U.Shah Higher Secondary School.
