Purnima Bansal is a Fourth-year B.E. Electronics and Communication Engineering student at Punjab University in Chandigarh and an Engineering Intern at Block8. She is an astrophysics and code enthusiast who enjoys solving problems, particularly in the field of astronomy. Purnima spends her free time reading various novels and works of literature. Purnima's skills include research, Java, HTML, Python, and Image Processing. She has 0.52 years of relevant experience in the field of software testing and development. Purnima has previously worked as a Software Associate at Datagardener, where she worked on Image Processing using Python to segregate information from bills given by the company. She stored the segregated data according to company name and number in an Excel spreadsheet. She has also worked as a Summer Student at IUCAA, where she was part of the team that created Research Convention, an online student-run platform that provides students with the opportunity to work on their research ideas for free. Through the mentoring program, students learn to approach research topics creatively and apply their existing theoretical knowledge. Purnima's education history includes a Bachelor of Engineering in Electrical, Electronics and Communications Engineering from Chandigarh College of Engineering & Technology (Degree Wing), Panjab University, which she is expected to complete in December 2022.
