Qian Lu is an accomplished Engineering Manager with over 12 years of relevant experience in the industry. Currently, Qian is working with Airbnb as an Engineering Manager for Host Incentives and Supply Insights. Prior to Airbnb, Qian worked with Uber as an Engineering Manager II, where she was responsible for the Driver Earnings team. During her tenure, Qian and her team rearchitected the driver earnings backend infrastructure to deliver a reliable, performant, scalable, and compliant earnings experience to millions of drivers on the Uber platform. Qian also led the LatAm (Latin America) Growth team and built the team from the ground up. She launched a number of growth features and safety features that significantly reduced safety incidents in the region. Qian was also a founding member of the China Growth engineering team and built the Uber Commute product from scratch, which is a China-first product to achieve the goal of more people in fewer cars. Qian started her career with LinkedIn as a Senior Software Engineer, where she worked on LinkedIn's fastest growing Ads product - Sponsored Update. Her work included serving, ranking, targeting, and reporting of the Sponsored Update. Qian holds an exchange program degree in Computer Science from the Hong Kong University of Science and Technology. Qian's technical expertise includes Senior Software Engineering, Machine Learning, Backend, Infrastructure, and Software Engineering. Qian is a highly motivated and goal-oriented individual who has a proven track record of delivering successful projects.
