Rachit Mahendra is a highly skilled software engineer with a passion for computer science that dates back to his early teenage years. With over 5 years of experience in the industry, he has worked with some of the biggest names in tech, including Microsoft, Bloomberg LP, and currently, Snap Inc. Rachit's extensive experience in backend engineering has made him a valuable asset to his team at Snap Inc., where he works on the Ads Delivery Infrastructure team. He has also worked on exciting features for the Bloomberg Terminal backend, such as building a microservice from scratch to serve Equity data and optimizing it for large data request loads and lower latency. In addition to his technical expertise, Rachit is also passionate about mentoring and recruiting. He has conducted several interviews for software engineers and has been actively involved in hiring great candidates. Rachit's primary tech stack includes Python, Java, C++, SQL, Apache Spark, Apache Kafka, Comdb2, and Cassandra. He also has experience in NLP, mobile app development, and AI. Rachit holds a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science from the University of Minnesota, where he had the opportunity to learn from some of the best professors. He also holds a CORe Credential of Readiness from HBX | Harvard Business School and a Nanodegree in Natural Language Processing from Udacity. In his free time, Rachit enjoys meeting new people, brainstorming creative ideas, reading non-fiction books, and playing basketball. He is a well-rounded individual with a strong work ethic and a passion for learning and growing in his field.
