Rachna Shetty is a Mac Reliability Engineer at Apple, with a passion for creating functional, reliable, and human-centered products by applying mechanical engineering first principles. She is a detail-oriented engineer who enjoys solving complex problems with elegant solutions. Rachna holds a Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering Management from Purdue University, where she gained a unique skill-set to address larger business challenges while being a detail-oriented engineer. Rachna has experience in product design and development, from sketching concepts to feasibility studies, FMEA, prototyping, and manufacturing. She has developed skills in Six Sigma Thinking, root cause analysis and testing, designing test fixtures and parts, executing test plans, environmental testing, manufacturing processes, industrial fastening and assembly methods, SolidWorks, and GD&T. Prior to her current role, Rachna worked at Halliburton as a Mechanical Engineer, where she learned industry-specific skills and was a key interface between her group (technology) and operations, manufacturing, and external vendors. She has also worked as a Patent Engineer at Cardinal Intellectual Property. Rachna holds a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering from Birla Institute of Technology and Science, Pilani. She is always curious, learning, and keeping abreast of the latest technological advancements. Rachna is a problem-solver and an excellent team player who is passionate about helping companies build excellent, human-centered products and solve complex challenges.
