Radu Irava is a seasoned product leader with over 11 years of experience in the software industry. He has worked with more than a dozen tech companies, ranging from B2C to B2B, web to mobile, and 1 to 100,000 employees. Radu is passionate about business growth and has contributed to the acquisition of two companies for over $150 million. Currently, he is focused on helping businesses grow and innovate, consulting early-stage startups in customer discovery phase, coaching aspiring and junior product managers, building product departments, and delivering advanced product reviews. Radu has designed and implemented a proximity payment mobile app using Ripple protocol and Beacons with BLE technology. He has also developed game-theoretic models to incentivize user participation in location-based services for marketing activities (cross-selling, up-selling) in the Retail industry. Radu is a speaker and has spoken at various events such as Mobile Academy, Lumea SEO PPC, and Mobile Growth. He has also conducted workshops on designing chatbots at Mobile Academy. Radu has mentored startup founders, product managers, university, and high-school students. He is currently the Head of Product and General Manager at SureSwift Capital, where he is focused on business growth and scaling through a product-led lens. His responsibilities include reducing churn, improving trial to paid conversion rate, improving acquisition, and everything else that needs to be done. Radu has previously worked as a Product Manager for Programmatic Advertising at Adswizz, where he researched customers' needs for three of the company's products. He worked with product designers to analyze user behavior and better drive UX iteration. Radu defined strategy, requirements, and roadmap for three of the company's products, built and executed product roadmaps, and ensured product vision was shared across engineering, business, and operations teams. He has also worked as a Product Management Consultant, helping businesses grow and innovate, consulting early-stage startups in the customer discovery phase, coaching aspiring and junior product managers, building product departments, and delivering advanced product reviews. Radu holds a Master of Science (MSc) in Management of Technology from Delft University of Technology and a Bachelor of Engineering (BEng) in Information Technology from the University of Bucharest. He also completed Startup School Online and high school from Vasile Alecsandri National College, where he studied Mathematics-Informatics. Radu's technical skills include product management, mobile, web, backend, and senior software engineering.
