Ragesh Hajela is an experienced Engineering Manager with a focus on AI Research at Fujitsu Research Labs. With over 11 years of experience, Ragesh has built innovative MLOps and NLP products, data-driven software solutions that bind the power of analytics, machine learning, NLP, high-performance pipelines, and software process engineering. Currently, Ragesh is working as a Senior Engineer with Intel IoT Group in Bangalore. In this role, he has served as a Senior AI Solutions Engineer and Intel AI Developer and Evangelist, accelerating edge AI inference with frameworks using deep learning, computer vision, and NLP on Intel high-performance compute devices. Previously, Ragesh was a Principal ML Engineer at ConcertAI, where he led efforts in building a scalable, high-performance, and extensible NLP-based medical oncology platform to enable entity recognition, relationship tagging, and data enrichment inferencing on text snippets and medical documents. He also built a scalable MLOps platform framework for deploying and operating models in production. Ragesh has collaborated closely with engineering, NLP scientists, ML engineers, product management, data engineers, statisticians, QAs, and clinical SMEs. His tech stack includes Python, FastAPI, OCR, BERT, CRF, LSTM, XGBoost, NER-horizontal models, AWS ECR, Lambda, Sagemaker, Glue, Fargate, EFS, and more. Ragesh holds a Bachelor of Technology in Information Technology from Sikkim Manipal Institute of Technology, a Postgraduate Degree in ML & AI from the International Institute of Information Technology Bangalore, and is currently pursuing a Master of Technology in Data Science and Engineering from Birla Institute of Technology and Science, Pilani.
